Adopt A Duck

2007 Million Dollar Duck Race
to benefit Special Olympics New York

http://2007duckrace.kintera.org/

They’re back! Those little yellow ducks are returning to New York City this summer to help Special Olympics New York raise the bucks! On Monday, August 6th approximately 25,000 rubber ducks will take the plunge into the East River and race from the Brooklyn Bridge to the South Street Seaport for the 2007 Million Dollar Duck Race. And YOU have a chance to adopt one of these potentially lucky ducks.

Every $5 donation to Special Olympics New York adopts one of these racing ducks in your name and gives you a chance to win one million dollars, American Airlines tickets, a digital camera, or other fabulous prizes. More importantly, your donation will help Special Olympics New York provide year-round sports training and Olympic-style competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. For online donations please visit http://2007duckrace.kintera.org/

Fundraisers like the Million Dollar Duck Race ensure that Special Olympics New York never charges its athletes or their families. Individual and corporate support enables us to have events that bring smiles and a sense of accomplishment to 20,000 Special Olympics athletes in the New York City Region. The Million Dollar Duck Race is an excellent opportunity to support the intellectually disabled community while having fun.

For more information about the event or to start adopting ducks call our duck hotline at (212) 490-1062 or log onto http://www.2007duckrace.kintera.org/. Or I would be happy to send you brochures and posters to generate off-line donations. On behalf of the athletes and their families, we thank you for supporting Special Olympics New York and hope that you will join us as we raise funds and fun at this year’s Million Dollar Duck Race.
