South Street Seaport

Our most publicly accessible fundraising event - the Million Dollar Duck Race - is a "fundraiser" when approximately 25,000 rubber ducks take the plunge into the East River and race from the Brooklyn Bridge to the South Street Seaport. Every $5 donation we receive from the public adopts one of these racing ducks giving them the chance to win a million dollars or other fabulous prizes. But more importantly, the donations help Special Olympics New York provide year-round sports training and Olympic-style competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. And YOU have a chance to adopt one of these potentially lucky ducks.
Opportunity for sponsorships and employee team building through fundraising team efforts exist.
